Cognitive Assessment of Diverse Populations – Webinar

Professional organizations that train practitioners to serve children in schools have expressed a longstanding concern over ‘equitable’ and ‘nondiscriminatory’ cognitive assessment for examinees from diverse racial/ethnic/language groups. Although there is much that has been discovered to support best practices, there are some assessment-related concepts that are poorly understood and ill-defined. In addition, alternative assessment and/or test interpretation practices that may be popularly promoted but have serious problems/deficiencies that undermine ethical behavior/best practices.
