Did you know that approximately 90% of doctor visits are related to chronic stress? Whether it’s from work, economic factors, or lack of health literacy, stress is a growing concern for quality of life and health. In addition to traditional practice, mindfulness can be an efficient and low-cost technique to directly reduce the effects of stressors, especially for those managing and/or rehabilitating their health.
In this course, you will learn what mindfulness is, how to identify when appropriate to implement, precautions, and howto facilitate safety during skilled interventions. Based on evidence-based practice, mindfulness, in addition to traditional interventions, was shown to reduce overall pain and improve functional outcomes and overall quality of life.You will be provided specific scripts and examples of how to safely apply mindfulness into your practice immediately.
