Elisabeth Bahr
OTD, MS OT/L
Dr. Bahr is an occupational therapist, writer, and adjunct occupational therapy professor.
Her doctorate from Boston University focused on developing programs for clinicians to become global citizens who practice advocacy for occupational justice. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She has a 500-hour therapeutic yoga certification from an ashram and various therapeutic art and life-story coaching certifications.
Her research has been presented and published over a dozen times in journals and at universities, national and international conferences, and the United Nations’ German consulate. She received both the President’s Leadership Award and the Samuel Eshborn Service Award from New York University for her work advocating for occupation as a human right.
Her writing and art are deeply influenced by healing, self-integration, and the therapeutic benefits of creating beauty in one’s life.
