Vestibular Rehabilitation for the Non-Vestibular Therapist – Webinar

Dizziness is a common problem affecting an estimated 36.8 million US individuals annually and accounting for nearly 2 million annual visits to the emergency department. Dizziness presents a substantial diagnostic challenge for clinicians because of its broad differential including both pathologic and benign causes. By optimizing the understanding and diagnosis of common vestibular pathologies clinicians can more effectively treat patients and improve their outcomes. Every person has a vestibular system, and every vestibular system can go awry so knowing how to treat the vestibular system is imperative. This workshop will provide hands-on testing and treatment strategies you can use on day one following this course to effectively treat patients with vestibular disorders. You will become comfortable with oculomotor testing, Dix-Hallpike and Roll test as well as the Epley maneuver and vestibular rebab treatment techniques. This course will also provide rationale for when to refer to another practitioner.
