SUMMARY:Ethics for School Social Workers - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Register today and learn how to: \n\nUse a streamlined roadmap for fast ethical triage\nApply templates that strengthen practice and reduce risk\nUse practical tools to stay ethical and keep a good relationship with clients\nBuild sharper\, more confident ethical reasoning\n\n  \nSchool social workers operate at the fault line of care and compliance. You’re guarding confidentiality while fielding parent demands\, principal directives\, FERPA/HIPAA tangles\, dual-role pressures with staff\, and “gray zone” safety concerns – often with little time and high legal exposure. But knowing the ethical principles and knowing exactly what to do when a parent is yelling\, a principal is pressuring you\, and a student’s safety hangs in the balance\, those are not the same thing. And one mistake can break trust\, trigger complaints\, or put a student at risk. \nThat’s why this one-day training is a must\, giving you a roadmap that turns ethical complexity into clear\, confident action – even under pressure. \nYou’ll join Dr. Glenda Bailey Hayden and Anjalon Wimbush\, LMSW\, both seasoned school social workers\, with decades of experience. They will clarify exactly what you’re up against and provide the practical tools needed to help you navigate these ethical principles. \nThrough rapid\, case-based learning\, you’ll translate the NASW Code of Ethics into a clear\, real-world decision framework you can use tomorrow. We’ll tackle the toughest school dilemmas – confidentiality\, boundaries\, documentation and more – and give you the tips and guidance you need to know you’re handling each situation correctly. \nYou’ll leave with: \n\nAn updated stepwise ethical triage you can apply quickly\nModernized documentation templates that protect clients – and your license\nHands-on strategies that honor ethics without burning bridges\nReal-world exercises that enhance your ethical reasoning skills\n\nDon’t wait until you’re facing an ethical crisis to wish you had this training. \nRegister now!

SUMMARY:#7326 The Pediatric Brain Part 4: Primitive Reflex Integration - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Primitive reflexes are assessed when a child is born to ensure they are present. Yet\, they are then often dismissed\, underestimating the role they play in the continued development and success of the child. However\, many children continue to have retained primitive reflexes which interfere with various aspects of their development. The term Primitive Reflex Integration is being used in a variety of fields with various approaches to treatment. These approaches often present the treatment of each primitive reflex as individual movement patterns separate from each other. This  course provides therapists with a roadmap to evaluating and treating 8-11 primitive reflexes\, with the understanding that they are linked and build upon each other. It utilizes a functional and play-based approach to allow physical and occupational therapists to integrate this new knowledge immediately into their practice. \n  \nInstructor: Janine Wiskind\, MS\, OTR/L

SUMMARY:Procrastination and Mental Blocks - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:20+ movement and sensory strategies to spark attention and action\nTurnkey solutions to enhance motivation and executive functioning\nClient handouts to teach self-talk\, if/then plans & more to replace avoidance with action\n\n  \nDear Colleague\, \nI can’t count how many times I’ve heard it: “I want to … I just can’t get myself to do it.” \nThey’ve got the insight. The plan. The support. \nBut still – no follow-through. \nI’ve been there too. As both a clinician and a coach\, I’ve worked with neurodiverse kids\, teens\, and adults who had the insight\, the goals\, and even the support – but still couldn’t move forward. And no amount of “try harder” advice ever helped. \nThat gap between knowing and doing used to frustrate me\, too. Until I realized the problem wasn’t discipline – it was how we define and activate motivation. \nThis training was born out of the challenges I’ve faced with neurodiverse clients who were labeled “lazy” or “unmotivated” – when in reality\, their brains just needed a different approach. \nIn this workshop\, I’ll show you what traditional models miss – how sensory processing\, dopamine dysregulation\, and executive dysfunction are at the heart of shutdowns\, procrastination\, and stuckness. And I’ll give you brain-based\, body-informed strategies that actually work. \nYou’ll learn how to: \n\nLeverage brain-body strategies to prime the brain for action\nTeach discipline as a scaffolded skill\, not a personality trait\nRewire self-talk and shift inner narratives to support sustainable change\nBoost task initiation and follow-through with behavioral neuroscience-based tools\n\nWhether you’re a mental health clinician or a rehab professional\, you’ll walk away with clear\, practical techniques you can use the next day – no fluff\, no shame\, and no cookie-cutter advice. Just real tools for real brains. \nCan’t wait to see you there\, \nJustin Lyons\, MS\, OTR/L

SUMMARY:Trauma-Related Emotional Eating - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Trauma creates fertile ground for issues with food. \nWhen does emotional eating become disordered eating? And when does disordered eating become an eating disorder? \nMost clinicians are not aware of the overlap between trauma\, emotional eating\, and eating disorders\, missing key interventions that relieve clients’ suffering. \nYour clients may be struggling at mealtimes – and if you aren’t asking about their relationship with food\, you may unintentionally be reinforcing their shame. \nReally – given the high rates of co-occurrence – if you’re doing trauma work\, you likely already have clients with disordered eating\, including Binge Eating Disorder (BED)\, the most common and most underdiagnosed eating disorder. \nNot an eating disorders specialist? You can still treat BED! Amy Pershing\, LMSW\, ACSW\, expert BED psychotherapist\, will share with you a comprehensive\, evidence-based toolkit of successful interventions that will: \n\nTransform your client’s relationship with food\, weight\, and body image\nApproach trauma and binge eating disorder from an IFS-informed framework\, somatic interventions\, and more\nIntegrate the crucial strategies of attuned eating and movement\nRoot your practice in the tenets of weight-neutral recovery\n\nDon’t let trauma continue to wreak havoc on your clients’ experience of eating. Register now to help your traumatized clients forge a peaceful relationship with food.
