SUMMARY:Lower Limb Amputation: Evidence-Based Interventions for the Early Stages of Recovery
DESCRIPTION:This one-day\, interactive course is intended for clinicians who work with less-than-ideal candidates for prosthetics\, and with patients whose functional independence does not rely on prosthetic use. The information also applies to clinicians with limited experience working with patients who have undergone LLA. The ideas in the course can be easily translated to a variety of patient populations\, and can be implemented preoperatively for patients who may undergo LLA due to vascular compromise. Attendees will leave with a tool box of evidenced-based formal tests specific to patient’s acutely post-LLA that can be performed postoperative Day #1.
