DESCRIPTION:Children who are non-ambulatory are at increased risk for orthopedic and other medical complications that can be painful and impair quality of life. The use of a stander has demonstrated positive medical benefits and can improve quality of life. This course will review the research on positive medical benefits of utilizing a stander as well as review strategies to prescribe appropriate equipment.
