SUMMARY:#7308 The Pediatric Brain Part 3: The Neurobiology of the Visual-Vestibular Systems - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:When we think about the vestibular and visual systems\, we may think simply about balance and coordination\, and having good eyesight. However\, both systems are far more complex and the inter-relationship between the visual-vestibular systems can have a huge impact on your pediatric client’s motor development\, emotional regulation\, learning\, and skill acquisition. The visual system has an enormous impact on the precise functioning of the vestibular system and dysfunction can result in poor performance across all areas of a child’s function.  In this class\, you will learn about the neurobiology of both the visual and vestibular systems and their correlation to a child’s daily occupations.  You will learn to effectively assess each system and how to engage in a variety of therapeutic play activities to strengthen their visual-vestibular integration and performance. \nThis course has been modified from the original 14-hour Pediatric Brain Course taught for the past 15 years. It can be viewed individually and will also work well as a series with Parts 1 and 2\, as well as in conjunction with the Primitive Reflex Integration Course.. Course instruction methods include lecture\, demonstration\, videos\, case studies and question/answers. (Intermediate Level)
