SUMMARY:Expanding Evaluation Capacity: A Primary–Ancillary Approach for Diverse Learners - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Schools face a shortage of qualified evaluators while serving increasingly diverse student populations. This session presents a primary–ancillary approach as a scalable\, defensible solution to expand evaluation capacity. Grounded in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (2014) and examiner qualification guidance within Riverside Insights assessment manuals (e.g.\, Woodcock–Johnson V; Woodcock–Muñoz Language Survey–III)\, participants will examine how trained ancillary examiners can support standardized administration under supervision while the primary examiner retains responsibility for interpretation and decision-making. Attendees will leave with a practical framework to increase efficiency while maintaining validity\, compliance\, and instructional relevance. \nContinuing Education Credit:\nParticipants who attend the live session will be eligible to receive CEUs. Additional details regarding CE credit requirements and documentation will be provided during the webinar. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nExplain the rationale for a primary–ancillary model in addressing evaluator shortages and supporting diverse learners\nIdentify the roles and responsibilities that must be maintained by the primary examiner within a supervised ancillary model\nApply a structured framework to implement ancillary support while maintaining valid and defensible evaluation practices\nDevelop and implement a training sequence for ancillary examiners that ensures standardized administration and procedural fidelity\n\n  \nAbout the Speaker: \nDr. Edward K. Schultz is Professor of Special Education at Midwestern State University (MSU). In addition to preparing educational diagnosticians at MSU\, he has written numerous peer reviewed articles concerning SLD identification\, conduct training across the country\, and has worked with state departments of education.

SUMMARY:Vestibular Rehabilitation for the Non-Vestibular Therapist - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Dizziness is a common problem affecting an estimated 36.8 million US individuals annually and accounting for nearly 2 million annual visits to the emergency department. Dizziness presents a substantial diagnostic challenge for clinicians because of its broad differential including both pathologic and benign causes. By optimizing the understanding and diagnosis of common vestibular pathologies clinicians can more effectively treat patients and improve their outcomes. Every person has a vestibular system\, and every vestibular system can go awry so knowing how to treat the vestibular system is imperative. This workshop will provide hands-on testing and treatment strategies you can use on day one following this course to effectively treat patients with vestibular disorders. You will become comfortable with oculomotor testing\, Dix-Hallpike and Roll test as well as the Epley maneuver and vestibular rebab treatment techniques. This course will also provide rationale for when to refer to another practitioner. \nHighlights\n\nImprove your comfort level with completing a basic vestibular evaluation on any client\nPractical and evidence-based applications of vestibular rehab treatment techniques and how to adjust treatment for your specific client\n\nTarget Audience: Physical Therapists\, Physical Therapist Assistants\, Occupational Therapists\, Occupational Therapy Assistants
