DESCRIPTION:Effective Screening for Musculoskeletal and Neurologic Dysfunction in Early Intervention will present an overview of signs and symptoms\, risk factors\, and easy-to-use screening tools for hypotonia\, autism\, infantile and early onset scoliosis\, hip dysplasia\, clavicle fracture\, brachial plexus injury\, and the atypical infant foot. Participants will learn through visual appraisal\, indicative characteristics of children with atypical presentation of posture and extremity alignment\, adaptive skills\, and behavior. Participants will also be provided with up-to-date screening resources for hypotonia\, autism\, hip dysplasia\, and brachial plexus injury\, along with current recommended clinical pathways for management. \nThe content of this program is germane to children\, students and clients ages 0-3. \nHighlights\n\nIdentify the clinical characteristics in the young child for the following: hypotonia\, autism\, infantile and early onset scoliosis\, hip dysplasia\, clavicle fracture\, brachial plexus injury and the atypical infant foot\nReview evidence-based resources and screening tools to support communication and further assessment recommendations to a young child’s medical team
