SUMMARY:Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Since stroke is one of the leading conditions seen by therapists and considering stroke is the leading cause of sensorimotor disability\, this is the strongest evidence-based approach to helping an individual regain motor functioning and skills. The effectiveness of this approach is well- established yet the formal structured use of this “vehicle” for stroke recovery is seldom used due to the barriers within the traditional rehabilitation model\, such as insurance reimbursement. Consequently\, this webinar will go over ways to implement this approach with adults and children through the modification of the traditional approach to CIMT. This workshop will give the participant another approach to add to their stroke toolbox so they can immediately implement this within the clinic or as a home program.
